Role Overview:

The Delivery Manager – Digital role is responsible for the applications and technical capabilities that form part of the Digital Value stream. You will partner with key Business stakeholders to deliver software solutions that drive engagement with Advisers and Customers, through our Adviser Channel and Bank Assurance Channels.  The Delivery Manager is accountable for all stages of the development lifecycle, including the planning, delivery & support for incidents. You will also have 4 direct reports and up to 20 indirect reports.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Management:

  • Lead delivery plans with clear milestones and timelines to align with business priorities and cross-value stream objectives.
  • Develop and manage Business Application roadmaps in collaboration with Business Owners and Product Owners.
  • Track and manage the budget for business applications (development, support, and running costs).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a team of delivery professionals, providing mentorship, support, and performance feedback.
  • Manage Team Lead roles within the value stream, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and SREs.

Process Optimisation:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving within the team.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field.
  • Strong experience in agile project management, including creating comprehensive delivery plans and managing resources effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards common objectives.
