Job Description
Role Overview:
The Senior Solutions Manager will define and deliver performance solutions (including Professional development) to Fidelity Life’s advisers, strategic alliances, and corporate partners. Taking cues from customer, adviser and partner needs, regulatory environment developments and technology opportunities, the Senior Solutions Manager will deliver business consultancy and individual competency solutions that drive great outcomes for customers and partners.
Strategic Ownership & Programme Leadership
Lead the strategic direction, design and performance of Fidelity Life’s Adviser Edge programme, ensuring it is market‑leading, commercially relevant, and demonstrably improves adviser capability and customer outcomes.
Set the vision and operating model for adviser performance solutions, translating adviser, customer, regulatory and business insights into scalable, high‑impact programmes.
Capability & Performance Uplift
Lead the development of adviser capability frameworks across career stages, ensuring programmes materially lift professionalism, sustainability and long‑term adviser success.
Ensure all solutions are outcome‑driven, with clear measures of effectiveness, engagement and commercial impact.
Commercial & Market Leadership
Position Adviser Edge as a flagship strategic asset for Fidelity Life, differentiating the business with advisers, strategic partners and the wider industry.
Continuously assess market trends, competitor activity and regulatory change to evolve offerings ahead of market need.
Stakeholder Influence & Partnerships
Act as a trusted adviser and thought leader to senior internal stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions relating to adviser capability, conduct and performance.
Build and maintain senior external relationships (industry bodies, partners, thought leaders and speakers) that enhance Fidelity Life’s market credibility and reach.
Governance, Risk & Quality
Ensure all programmes are designed and delivered in line with conduct expectations, regulatory obligations and Fidelity Life risk appetite, proactively identifying and mitigating emerging risks.
Maintain clear governance, decision‑making discipline and accountability across all Adviser Edge initiatives.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Champion a culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement, challenging legacy approaches and lifting standards across adviser development solutions.
Contribute to broader Solutions leadership, shaping strategy, priorities and ways of working across the portfolio.
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications
Achieved NZ Certificate in Financial Services (L5) preferred.
Experience
5+ years in banking/ finance or life insurance with exposure to key functions of life insurance organisations.
Previous business consultancy experience
Ability to deliver solutions that align with strategic objectives, while respecting the intent and spirit of relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct.
Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and lead programmes and initiatives, achieving high‑quality outcomes within agreed budgets and planned timeframes, and aligned to organisational strategy.
Skills
Strong presentation, influencing, and communication skills
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and partners
Experience defining, measuring, and reporting programme outcomes
Confidence turning data into clear, evidence‑based insights
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for executive‑ready reporting
Comfort using Copilot and AI tools to drive productivity and insight
