Job Description

Role Overview:

This six month fixed term role is responsible for the accurate collection and reporting of data that allows the Actuaries and Finance teams to successfully complete critical functions. The role is also responsible for the demand, recovery and reconciliation of monies owed to Fidelity Life from reinsurers on claims that have been paid.

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Data

  • Collate Policy, Claim and Reinsurance data.
  • Provide insights and answers to all queries relating to claims from the Finance & Actuary teams within 48 hours.
  • Facilitate data cleansing activity with the Claims team as required.

Claims Reinsurance Recovery

  • Ensure the efficient and timely recovery of Claim Payments from our Reinsurance Partners within agreed Treaties and service level agreements.
  • Build strong relationships with all Reinsurance Partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Reinsurers to resolve all queries thus enabling the successful recovery of monies outstanding.
  • Ensure the “Reinsurance Dashboard” accurately reflects the recovery activities for all reinsurance partners at all times.
  • Provide reporting to the Finance and Operations teams to enable successful reconciliation once monies are received from reinsurers 

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of NCEA Level 3 or equivalent secondary school qualification
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in liaising with third party providers (e.g., Regulatory bodies,Vendors etc)
  • Minimum of 2years experience in a role responsible for the Recovery and Reconciliation of Monies owed.
  • Experience in Life Insurance, Banking and Finance Industry preferred.
  • Experience in working with and/or managing relationships reinsurers preferred.
  • Experience in managing relationships with Internal and External business partners

Skills:

  • Ability to navigate and work comfortably well with Microsoft suites/applications (intermediate to advanced)
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and manage multiple work requirements
