The Role:
As the Head of Claims, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining a best-in-class Claims function – and you’ll bring your experience, ideas and innovation to make us even better. You’ll manage all aspects of the Claims function, ensuring that claims are assessed, processed, and paid in accordance with policies, legislation, and our strategic objectives. You will be leading an exceptional team composed of highly skilled specialists who are deeply committed to our customers. Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
Leading the Claims function: This is your bread and butter – develop and lead this fantastic, customer-centric Claims team to deliver the highest standards of service. Continuously assess our policies, processes, and performance to enhance the efficiency of the Claims function.
Build for the future: Continue to build our Claims function to align with our overall strategic objectives – we want to grow our business for the good of New Zealand. And that includes responding to the evolving regulatory environment.
Be an enterprise leader: You’ll need to work right across our business, representing the Claims function and solving wider business challenges. You’ll also need to work with our external partners, including key distribution partners.
This is a critical role at Fidelity Life. Not only will you be a subject matter expert in the field of claims processing and complaints, you’re also a champion for the customer. Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring:
Extensive senior-level experience in Claims management. We have a strong preference for experience within the life or general insurance sector.
Proven commercial acumen, with experience developing and implementing Claims frameworks that align with strategic goals.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across the business and with external partners.
Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams and driving change in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk, complex claims scenarios while maintaining a focus on customer service and compliance.
